Can I ride a quad or a sidecar?
No – the track is for solo MX and enduro bikes only. No quads and no MX sidecars.

How much does it cost to ride?
It's £40 per rider, per day – the same price for adults and children. There's no membership fee.

What riding kit do I need?
All riders must wear:
• An ACU Gold stamped, properly fitting helmet (white stamp for auto riders)
• Goggles or protective safety glasses – not sunglasses
• Boots that cover the ankle, ideally without external laces
• Gloves
• Clothing that covers arms and legs – no shorts or T-shirts on track
Body armour is optional but recommended.

Do I need a licence or membership?
No membership is needed – just book and pay the day fee. J4M54 doesn't licence or test riders, and riders are responsible for their own safety and the condition of their bike and kit.
What bike can i ride at the track

Yes, we run sessions depending on age & ability.
Do you allow electric bikes
Yes, we do allow electric bikes.
Do you sell oil and spares at the track?
Yes. The track shop carries Maxima racing oils, DT-1 air filters and RFX spares including brake pads, levers and grips. Chain and sprocket kits are best pre-ordered – email info@j4m54.co.uk.
What facilities do you have?
We have toilets and refreshments on site, plus marshals and first aid at every session. There's also a track shop for oils and spares.
What age can children ride?
Riders must be 6 years or older. The kids class caters for bikes from 50cc to 85cc, autos or geared. We run separate sessions for adults and children depending on age and ability.

Where is the track?
J4M54 is on land off Haughton Road, Shifnal, Telford, Shropshire. Nearest postcode TF11 8TG.

Can I bring someone else's child to ride?
Yes, but you must bring a letter of consent from the child's parent or legal guardian, signed and dated, giving permission for them to ride that day. Use our template: https://www.j4m54.co.uk/docs/parent-guardian-consent-v1.pdf
Is the track suitable for beginners?
Yes – all abilities are catered for, from first-timers to experienced racers. We run sessions so you ride with people of a similar ability.
What is the track like?
The circuit is just under a mile of sand-based motocross track, with jumps, berms, straights and everything you need to practise and perfect your off-road riding.
